Not a generic file drop. FAS technicians collect street/shakedown datalogs and send them to an outside tuner for review. Revisions are applied before delivery. Every calibration step is documented. - 07
QC Walkthrough
Every component signed off before delivery.
The QC walkthrough covers all installed components, calibration confirmation, and any service items discovered during the build. You receive a build summary at delivery. - 08

What "Calibration Coordination" Means
For packages requiring calibration (FAS800 and above), FAS does not sell an off-the-shelf tune or a generic file drop. Here is what actually happens:
Street / Shakedown Runs
FAS technicians drive and log the vehicle to collect real-world datalogs under load.
Outside Tuner Review
Datalogs go to a remote tuner who reviews and revises the calibration file. Multiple rounds if needed.
Confirmed Drivability
Revisions are applied and drivability is confirmed before your vehicle leaves the shop.
FAS does not own a dyno and does not guarantee specific WHP output numbers — see our FAQ for more detail on what calibration coordination includes and does not include.
Build Process Questions

How long does a FAS Motorsports build take? ▼
Build time varies by package scope and current shop schedule. A straightforward FAS800 install typically takes 1–2 shop days. Packages requiring built internals or extensive fuel system work can take 3–5 days. Calibration coordination adds time if multiple datalog review rounds are needed. Contact us for a current lead time estimate for your build scope.

Do I need to be present during the build? ▼
No. Most customers drop off their vehicle and return at delivery. We contact you if unexpected scope changes arise during the build, and we walk you through the completed build at pickup.

How does calibration work if I'm not a tuner? ▼
You don't need to be involved in the tuning side. FAS technicians handle the vehicle-side work — collecting datalogs and street/shakedown runs. Those logs are sent to an outside tuner for review and calibration file revision. You just drive normally during datalog collection.

What happens if something unexpected comes up during the build? ▼
If the build scope changes during the install (for example, a failing component is discovered, or an upgrade path requires additional parts), FAS contacts you before proceeding. No additional work is done without your approval.

Can I watch my build happen at the shop? ▼
We can accommodate brief check-ins, but customers are not typically on the shop floor during active installation for safety and workflow reasons. Ask us when you schedule your drop-off.

What documentation do I get when the build is complete? ▼
You receive a build summary documenting installed components, calibration status, and any service items noted during the QC walkthrough. This document travels with the vehicle and is useful for future service reference.
