Why Hellcat Owners Come to FAS
The Hellcat platform has been FCA's performance flagship for over a decade — Charger, Challenger, Durango, and everything in between. The 2.4L twin-screw supercharger is one of the most capable factory blowers ever put in a production car. It's also one of the most modified. Whether you're shopping for a ported unit or a complete hellcat supercharger for sale, FAS has seen every failure mode, every limit, and every path through it.
The factory snout is the weak link on 707 builds. The factory bearings weren't spec'd for sustained high-boost use. Redeye owners pushing beyond 800 whp run into the same inlet restriction that limits every twin-screw at elevated output. FAS solves all three — billet snout replacement, bearing upgrades, and precision porting — as standalone services or as a complete platform package.
Hellcat Services
2.4L Billet Supercharger Snout
The factory cast snout is the first thing to go on a serious Hellcat build. FAS machines a billet replacement that eliminates the flex and bearing wear the stock casting allows under high-boost conditions. Direct bolt-on. No adapter required.
Shop Billet Snout →Snout Bearing Upgrade
Factory bearings in the Hellcat snout are rated for stock boost. Push past that and you're borrowing time. FAS replaces them with upgraded spec bearings as a standalone service or included in any full build package.
Shop Bearing Upgrade →Dominator 2.4L Supercharger Package
For Hellcat builds targeting 900+ whp, the Dominator replaces the factory 2.4L with a unit built for that output range. FAS precision ports and validates every unit before it ships.
Shop Dominator Package →Supercharger Porting
Inlet and outlet porting on the factory 2.4L for owners who want more from the stock blower without a full swap. Improves airflow efficiency across the RPM band, reduces inlet temps, extends the power curve.
View Porting Service →Hellcat vs. Redeye: What's Different
The standard Hellcat (707 hp) runs the 2.4L IHI-sourced twin-screw at 11.6 psi. The Redeye (797 hp) runs the same basic architecture but with a ported throttle body, a different bypass valve, and higher factory boost — closer to 14.5 psi.
Important — parts differ by trim
The snout design is different between the two. The Redeye snout is not interchangeable with the standard Hellcat unit. FAS stocks billet snout options for both. Specify your exact trim — Hellcat, Redeye, Super Stock, or Jailbreak — at checkout or when booking.
For porting work, both units respond well. Redeye builds typically have less headroom on the stock blower (it's already closer to its limit from the factory), so Dominator packages are more common on Redeye builds targeting 900+ whp.

Technical Detail
The 6.2L Hellcat HEMI is a strong foundation. The rotating assembly is robust, the cylinder heads flow well, and there's real headroom in the block. The supercharger is where most builds hit their ceiling.
The 2.4L twin-screw design is a positive-displacement blower — linear boost curve, low heat at moderate output, excellent response. The problem is the factory inlet port and bypass valve geometry, which restrict airflow above 850 whp and cause inlet temperature rise that pulls timing.
The snout bearing failure mode is separate: the stock bearings tolerate sustained high-boost poorly, and bearing wear shows up as noise, then vibration, then catastrophic failure if ignored.
FAS addresses these in order: bearings first on any build where we're increasing boost, snout replacement on builds where stock casting geometry is limiting output, full precision porting for owners pushing the stock blower to its limit before upgrading. Every build gets a documented spec sheet.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the billet snout fit both Hellcat and Redeye?
No — the snout geometry differs between standard Hellcat and Redeye/Super Stock trims. FAS makes billet snouts for both. Specify your exact model when ordering.
My Hellcat is making a whining noise from the blower. What is it?
Usually bearing wear. The factory bearings degrade faster under elevated boost. Get it diagnosed before it gets worse — continued operation with worn bearings can damage the rotor pack. FAS can diagnose and rebuild.
What whp can I realistically make on a ported stock 2.4L?
A properly ported stock 2.4L on a dialed tune typically supports 800–850 whp on a Hellcat, slightly less on a Redeye which has less thermal headroom. Above that, the Dominator package is the clean path.
Can I ship my supercharger to FAS without removing the whole car?
Yes. We accept core-out supercharger assemblies for rebuild, porting, and snout replacement. Ship the blower; we'll turn it around and ship it back.
How much power does the billet snout add on its own?
The billet snout isn't a power adder — it's a reliability upgrade. It eliminates flex and bearing slop that causes boost inconsistency. Owners typically see tighter boost control and improved consistency on the dyno, but the primary value is longevity.
Does FAS build Durango Hellcat setups?
Yes. The Durango Hellcat uses the same 2.4L supercharger as the Challenger/Charger. All FAS supercharger services apply. Note that install logistics differ due to the Durango's packaging.
