Why Replace the Factory Snout?
The factory Hellcat supercharger snout is a die-cast aluminum piece. At stock power levels it works fine. At 800+ WHP — on aggressive pulley ratios and E85 — the OEM casting flexes under sustained belt load, affecting shaft alignment, rotor clearance, and boost consistency.
The FAS billet snout is CNC-machined from solid billet 6061 with multi-axis precision. It holds alignment under load, supports upgraded bearings, and opens the inlet geometry for better airflow into the rotor pack — bolt-on, no fabrication.
If you're porting the supercharger, replacing the bearings, or building past 700 WHP, the billet snout is the logical next step. It's also the foundation of the FAS Dominator package.

What does a billet supercharger snout do?▾
The snout is the nose casting of the supercharger — it holds the front bearing, drives the rotor pack, and routes inlet air into the blower. The factory snout is a die-cast piece that flexes under belt load and has restricted inlet geometry. A billet replacement is CNC-machined from solid 6061 aluminum for improved rigidity, concentricity, and flow.
Will a billet snout increase horsepower on a Hellcat?▾
Directly, not dramatically — the snout's primary job is structural. The real gains come from reduced flex under belt load (which keeps shaft alignment and boost consistent), plus the ported inlet geometry on the FAS billet snout. On builds already pushing the OEM snout hard, the difference is measurable on the dyno.
Do I need to replace the bearings when I install a billet snout?▾
If you're pulling the snout anyway, yes — upgrade the bearings while you're in there. FAS stocks upgraded snout bearings rated for high-boost Hellcat applications. Installing a billet snout with worn OEM bearings defeats part of the purpose.

What platforms is the 2.4L billet snout compatible with?▾
Fits all 2.4L IHI-equipped platforms: Challenger SRT Hellcat/Redeye, Charger SRT Hellcat/Redeye, RAM 1500 TRX, and Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Does not fit the 2.7L IHI in the Demon or Demon 170.
