What is Compound Forced Induction?
The FAS 1X uses two forced induction systems simultaneously — and they are not redundant. They are complementary.
Supercharger
The race-ported Hellcat supercharger provides immediate, linear boost response from idle to redline. Low-RPM torque and throttle response are driven by the positive displacement supercharger — making the 1X feel instantly responsive in normal driving despite the extreme power output.
Combined, the two systems deliver boost pressures that neither can achieve alone — enabling the 1200–1500 HP output range that defines the 1X tier.
Turbocharger
The platform-specific turbocharger is added downstream of the supercharger, compounding the boost pressure further into the RPM range. Peak power is substantially higher than what a supercharger alone can produce — and it climbs harder through the top of the rev range.
What's Included
The FAS 1X is a full-system build. Final specification is confirmed during consultation — the components listed below represent the standard 1X build sheet.
- Complete FAS1000 Foundation
Race ported supercharger, 108mm throttle body, upgraded fuel system, and longtube headers from the FAS1000 build — all carried forward as the platform baseline.
- Turbocharger System
Platform-specific turbocharger setup designed to work alongside the existing supercharger. Compressor sizing, intercooling, and plumbing all engineered by FAS for your specific platform.
- Compound Boost Management
Boost controller and wastegate setup to manage the combined output of the supercharger and turbocharger system under all operating conditions.
- Built Bottom End
Forged rods, pistons, and supporting hardware to provide the internal engine foundation required for sustained 1200–1500 HP operation.
- High-Flow Fuel System
Dedicated high-output fuel pump, larger injectors, and flex fuel sensor for E85 operation — sized to support the increased demand at 1X power levels.
- Race Intercooling Upgrade
Upgraded intercooler system to manage charge temperatures under compound forced induction across extended high-load driving.
- Full Custom Dyno Tune
Comprehensive pump gas and E85 calibration developed for your specific build on our in-house AWD dynamometer. Multiple tune files developed and verified.
- Installation Labor

Common Questions
- What does 1X mean in the FAS naming system?
- The 1X designation indicates the first tier of compound forced induction — a supercharger plus turbocharger (twin-charged) build. The 1X package targets 1200–1500 HP depending on platform, fuel, and final tune parameters.
- Why does this build require a consultation?
- At the 1X level, the build is fully custom. Turbo sizing, intercooling, plumbing, and internal engine specs vary by vehicle condition, intended use, and target power. A consultation lets us scope the build correctly before any parts are ordered.
- Does the FAS 1X require internal engine work?
- Yes. Forged rods and pistons are a standard component of the FAS 1X build. The factory Hellcat engine internals are not rated for sustained 1200–1500 HP operation, and cutting corners here is not part of how FAS builds.
- What fuel does the FAS 1X run on?
- E85 is required for the full power calibration at the 1X level. A conservative pump gas tune is also developed, but the 1200–1500 HP range is achievable only with ethanol-based fuel.
- How long does the FAS 1X build take?
- The FAS 1X is a multi-week build. Timeline depends on parts availability, current shop schedule, and vehicle condition. Contact FAS directly to discuss current lead times and begin the consultation process.
