Camaro ZL1 —
Supercharger Upgrades
The ZL1's LT4 makes big power on stock boost — and a lot more once the supercharger flows the way it should. FAS ports, rebuilds, and upgrades the ZL1 blower for more flow, tighter boost control, and cooler inlet temps. Ship the core or bring the car in.
Why Camaro ZL1 Owners Come to FAS
The 6th-gen Camaro ZL1 (2017+), including the ZL1 1LE, runs the supercharged 6.2L LT4 with a 1.7L Eaton TVS R1740 blower — the same unit found on the C7 Corvette Z06 and Cadillac CTS-V. It's one of the most capable factory muscle cars ever built, and the supercharger has real headroom once the restriction comes out.
Where ZL1 builds run into a wall is the supercharger's snout inlet geometry, rotor-to-housing clearances, and outlet porting — all built conservatively from the factory for longevity, not maximum output. FAS precision ports the ZL1 supercharger to open the airflow path, tighten clearances within validated limits, and recover the efficiency the casting gives up.
Because the ZL1 shares the LT4 supercharger with the Z06, CTS-V, and CT5-V Blackwing, FAS runs high production volume on this exact unit. For the complete engineering breakdown, see the LT4 supercharger platform page.

What FAS Does on the ZL1
Camaro ZL1 Supercharger Services
Primary Service
ZL1 Supercharger Snout Porting
The primary bottleneck on the ZL1's LT4 blower is the snout inlet geometry. FAS precision ports the snout to open the airflow path and reduce turbulence at the rotor inlet — hand finished and flow-validated. The result is improved top-end response and lower inlet temps at sustained boost.

ZL1 Supercharger Rebuild
Worn rotors, failed bearings, or contamination on a pushed or high-mile ZL1 blower? FAS rebuilds the LT4 assembly to tight tolerances — typically faster than sourcing a replacement, and the rebuilt unit performs better than stock. Rebuilding anyway? Add porting while it's apart.

Bearing Upgrade
High-boost ZL1 builds put elevated load on the factory supercharger bearings. FAS installs upgraded-spec bearings as a standalone service or as part of any full build package — cheap insurance against a failure on track.

LT4 Supercharger Platform
The ZL1 shares its 1.7L Eaton TVS blower with the Z06, CTS-V, and CT5-V Blackwing. For the complete technical breakdown of what FAS does to the LT4 supercharger and why, see the full LT4 platform page.

Does FAS work on both the 6th-gen ZL1 and the ZL1 1LE?▾
Yes. The 2017+ Camaro ZL1 and ZL1 1LE both run the supercharged 6.2L LT4 with the 1.7L Eaton TVS blower. The supercharger porting, rebuild, and bearing services are identical — the 1LE differs in suspension and aero, not the blower.
What does porting the ZL1 supercharger gain?▾
On a supporting build with tune and fueling, snout and outlet porting typically returns 15–30 wheel horsepower with a more consistent boost curve and cooler inlet temps. It is a permanent gain that stacks with pulley swaps and fuel-system upgrades.
My ZL1 gets hot and pulls power on repeated pulls. Will porting fix that?▾
Porting improves flow efficiency, which lowers the work the blower does for a given boost target and helps inlet temps — so it helps. But heat management on a track-driven ZL1 is a system: porting plus a sound cooling and pulley/tune strategy is the right approach. FAS can advise on the full build.
Can I ship the ZL1 supercharger without dropping the engine?▾
Yes. The LT4 supercharger on the ZL1 is accessible without full engine removal, and FAS accepts shipped cores nationwide for snout porting, rebuild, and bearing work. Ship the blower; we turn it around and ship it back.
Is the ZL1 supercharger the same as the Corvette Z06 unit?▾
Yes — the Camaro ZL1, C7 Corvette Z06, CTS-V, and CT5-V Blackwing all run the 1.7L Eaton TVS R1740. That shared platform is why FAS has high production volume and validated specs on this exact supercharger.
